Privacy policy and cookies
FrameScope (frame-scope.com) has no user accounts and never asks you to log in, install software or connect a Steam account. This page explains the small amount of data that is still processed when you visit, who processes it and what choices you have.

1. Your saved PC (stored only in your browser)
When you use “Save My Rig” in the Can I Run It tool, the GPU, CPU, RAM and storage you selected are written to your browser's localStorage under the key “framescope_pc_profile_v1”. This data stays on your device; it is not sent to FrameScope as a profile and is not linked to any identity. It remains until you press “Clear Saved Rig” or clear your browser's site data. When you run a check, the selected models are sent to our server to compute the result, the same as any other page request, and are not stored with your identity.
2. Cookies set by FrameScope
FrameScope itself sets a single cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers whether you prefer Traditional Chinese or English. It contains only the language code and expires after one year. It is strictly functional and is not used for tracking.
3. Google AdSense and advertising cookies
FrameScope shows ads served by Google AdSense on some content pages. Google and its partners may set or read cookies and similar identifiers in your browser to serve, measure and limit the frequency of ads, and to detect fraud.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to FrameScope and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices (US) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- How Google uses information from sites that use its services is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised. Visitors in regions that require consent may be shown a consent message by Google before personalised ads are used.
4. Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how visitors find the site, for example page views, approximate region, device type and referring search engine. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) for this. We use the reports only in aggregate to decide which games and hardware to add and which pages to improve; we do not try to identify individual visitors. You can block these cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Cloudflare and security
FrameScope is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects the site against attacks and abusive traffic. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to do this and may set strictly necessary security cookies. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, it counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites. Our own server uses your IP address briefly to apply rate limits that keep the site available.
6. Server logs and retention
- Server logs record the time, requested address, response status and technical request details. They are used for troubleshooting and security, are rotated automatically once they reach a fixed size, and are not kept long term.
- Your saved PC and the language cookie stay in your browser until you clear them (the cookie expires after one year).
- Analytics and advertising data are retained by Google under Google's own settings and policies.
- Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer and, for corrections, to keep a record of what was changed.
7. What we do not do
FrameScope does not sell personal data, does not offer accounts or Steam login, does not scan your computer and does not knowingly collect information from children. We do not share data with third parties other than the services named on this page.
8. Contact and changes
Questions about this policy or requests about your data can be sent to contact@frame-scope.com. We reply within 7 days. If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated. See also our editorial policy.
