RELATIVE GPU INDEX

2026 GPU Hierarchy & Performance Index

Every rated GPU is placed on one relative scale with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 (8 GB) as 100%. It is the same requirement-tier index our game verdicts use: an editorial estimate from published specifications and official requirement tables, not a measured benchmark result.

A GPU hierarchy answers one question: roughly where does a graphics card sit compared with the others? Game requirement tables often name a card that is several generations old, such as a GTX 1060 or an RX 580, and it is hard to tell how a newer card or a laptop GPU compares. This page lists desktop, laptop and integrated graphics on one relative scale so you can find a card in the requirements and see which current models sit at or above it.

To use it, filter by brand, tier or form factor, find the card named in a game's requirements and note its index, then look for your own card. A higher index means more estimated graphics throughput, but VRAM matters separately: a card with a high index and little VRAM can still run into trouble with high-resolution textures. The positioning column describes how cards in each tier are usually marketed; it is not a frame-rate promise. For a specific game, use the requirement check on the game page or Can I Run It, and read the methodology for how the index relates to verdicts.

How We Standardize GPU RankingsThe index is relative, not a frame-rate prediction. It is assembled from published architecture data, shader resources, memory bus width and VRAM, and is meant for comparing cards with each other. 200% means roughly twice the estimated graphics throughput of an RTX 4060; the gap you see in a specific game can be larger or smaller. Cards we have not rated yet are listed separately at the bottom without an index instead of being guessed.
